Kiwi goes to London

Our visiting Kiwi had a great weekend. He went up to London on Friday with Bethan, to see the sites. Bethan was positively bursting with th news of their fab weekend.
First they went down the River Thames on a boat as far as Tower Brdige ( Kiwi felt a little sea sick apparently)

Bethan, Kiwi and her family including Bethan's cousin who is in most of the photographs, then went to The Tower of London to see The Crown Jewels, while they were there they met a Beefeater ( Guard) who was originally from New Zealand and had a Kiwi pin inside his hat !!

The journey continued with a trip on The London Eye, from the top Kiwi couldn't quite see New Zealand, but he did look very hard - he got a bit light headed from being so high up, and felt much better with his feet on the ground.

Later in the day they went to The Houses of Parliament where Kiwi looked up at the Tower of Big Ben

Kiwi did visit Buckingham Palace and sat on the wall outside, there was aflag on the flag pole, but we are not sure that The Queen was in, Kiwi also went to Hamleys the biggest Toy Shop in the world, here he found some friendly cuddly animals to play with...
He finished his journey with a visit to Platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross Station - the platform that Harry Potter and his friends use to get to Hogwarts... wow what a busy weekend, no wonder he and Bethan were bursting to tell us about their adventures today in school.

That was fabulous Bethan. I hope you didn't have to make a run at Platform nine and three quarters. You must be a Muggle!

No wonder Cuddly Kiwi felt sea sick. He has never been out in a boat before. It would have been his first time out on the water. I am sure he would have enjoyed the sights going up the Thames River though.

Imagine going to Buckingham Palace to see a Beefeater from New Zealand. I wonder if that made Cuddly Kiwi feels homesick.

We loved the photos and think that you a very lucky to have such an exciting weekend.

Thank you for sharing them with us.
