Kiwi goes to London

Our visiting Kiwi had a great weekend. He went up to London on Friday with Bethan, to see the sites. Bethan was positively bursting with th news of their fab weekend.
First they went down the River Thames on a boat as far as Tower Brdige ( Kiwi felt a little sea sick apparently)

Bethan, Kiwi and her family including Bethan's cousin who is in most of the photographs, then went to The Tower of London to see The Crown Jewels, while they were there they met a Beefeater ( Guard) who was originally from New Zealand and had a Kiwi pin inside his hat !!

The journey continued with a trip on The London Eye, from the top Kiwi couldn't quite see New Zealand, but he did look very hard - he got a bit light headed from being so high up, and felt much better with his feet on the ground.

Later in the day they went to The Houses of Parliament where Kiwi looked up at the Tower of Big Ben

Kiwi did visit Buckingham Palace and sat on the wall outside, there was aflag on the flag pole, but we are not sure that The Queen was in, Kiwi also went to Hamleys the biggest Toy Shop in the world, here he found some friendly cuddly animals to play with...
He finished his journey with a visit to Platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross Station - the platform that Harry Potter and his friends use to get to Hogwarts... wow what a busy weekend, no wonder he and Bethan were bursting to tell us about their adventures today in school.

Cuddly Kiwi visits Jordan

This is a report sent in from Jordan C following the visit of Cuddly Kiwi to his house on 11th December :

As a special treat because Cuddly Kiwi was coming home with us, mum took us to the Chip Shop on our way home. We came home and ate our chips while we watched a DVD.

I made a bed for Kiwi using mum's spare washing basket and my snuggly Spiderman blanket, he liked it very much!

Next I took Kiwi for a tour of our home. He really liked our Christmas Tree, he sat in it while mum took our picture. He also liked the stars in our front window, so we took another photograph. He thought my bedroom was nice and really enjoyed climbing on my bunk bed. He tried on my baseball cap but it was too big for him - it was very funny.

My Nan and Aunty came over to visit and they liked Kiwi very much, my family was very interested to hear all of the stories and facts that Kiwi and I told them about New Zealand.

We've enjoyed our time together, and as a special treat Kiwi can sleep with me tonight.
